Another idea for the state grant is to improve the pullout at the Mile 47.9 pond. That would be a better place for the water/food stop of the Chena Hot Springs Bicycle Classic. I also wonder if the club has a position or person involved with the railroad re-route. Although it may not happen until sometime in the distant future, it will open up a corridor through town, and would be a perfect bike path. I agree with Henry. Note that the proposal wording uses the term "faster." I had thought of using the word "serious," but I thought it sounded elitist. Is a young child who does a lot of weaving but is determined to ride not serious? "Faster" is a better description.
