Need help working on bike and just learn

Postby nweth1 » Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:53 pm

I have all shimano parts on my MTN Bike, when I’m in 2/5 and up the chain rubs on my derailer until I push and hold it down it stops. I've tried to look it up but figured I could learn more if I can find someone to talk to for a little bit. I've lived in Germany for 4 1/2 years and mostly used to German gear especially down hill parts but the guys I rode with didn't speak much English so I didn't learn as much. If anyone has any time some weekend or something I’d greatly appreciate it.

Boy good question. I would suggest heading over to a local bike shop and asking... see where it gets you. Whichever shop gives you the customer service you are happy with would be a good place to start.

Other than that ask some fellow cyclists. Most are more than happy to talk about bikes. Or even better look at the group ride schedule, find one that meets your needs, show up, meet new people, go on new rides, get stronger and faster and get into better shape, go on longer rides, enter the Tour de Fran... oh wait, sorry, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. Bike shops and group rides would be my suggestion!
