Wow!! What a great night to race bikes (except that one part where the train came through). Fairbanks big time trial giants came out to play in the circuit playground. Tyson and Eric, having had an epic battle on the Steese Hwy a few weeks ago, matched their talents on road bikes this time. After a lap and a half Tyson showed his quickness by attacking on the steep portion of Bellaine Hill and quickly got a gap. Eric, Chris, and Dash kept charging and "caught" Tyson (we think he sat up) and all four riders flew down the back side. True to their time trial background, Tyson and Eric got a gap and pulled away. Dispite doing two laps the two were still together and it came down to sheer sprinting power. Past the railroad tracks Tyson came around Eric for the win. Chris Wyatt charged hard to the line narrowly edging a strong Brian Young to complete a hard fought race.

Fresh from altitude training from years in Colorado, Alisabeth Thurston-Hicks showed the same form she had during the Tour of Fairbanks by beating the Women's field by two minutes. A stretched out field crossed the finish line with Cathy Weeg and Corrine rounding out the podium.

The Sport Men finish had high drama. Three strong men came to the start line and once again it came down to the sprint with Terry Honeyset out sprinting Scott Miller for the win. Paul Gregory rounded out the podium for the men.
