SNOW RACE #2 Snow Race #2 -- March 11th, 2001 -- 13.5 Miles Like the first Snow Race, this one was downgraded into a ride. The course wasn't easy, though. A moderate snowfall made a few of the less traveled trails soft, and you could hear the "sssssstt!" of air being let out of tires. This was an uphill climb up Moose Trail and beyond, past the KUAC tower. Before getting to Cranberry Ridge Road, we dove down the north side of the ridge on a trail that had seen only light use, and going down was quite a workout. Once at the bottom, we had a speedy ride back to Ivory Jacks. The event was a success! About 12 participants.
