SUMMIT HILL CLIMB
 Thursday Evening Race - Summit Hill Climb  -- June 23, 2005 -- about 2 miles


This was one of those really excellent evenings where you almost didn't want 
to ride the bike.  Prior to the start, several participants were considering 
lying around in the parking area instead...

Conditions were perfect for the event, if perhaps a little warm.  Truly 
driven, Fred Harbison scorched up the hill in 10:44.  The finish line 
was a 12-pack of ice cold Mountain Dew, which went largely unappreciated.  

The race was put on by Simon Rakower and Keely Willert, and Tom Clark was 
there as the cheering section.

The start was about 2/10ths of a mile up Summit, and the finish was just a 
few yards shy of the intersection at the top.
