EDWARD JONES POINTS SERIES #3 -- THURSDAY NIGHT RACE
	   UAF Sprints -- June 3rd, 2010 -- multiple heats


First the racers went through a seeding by racing against the UAF Speed Sign. RJ 
Stevens had the fastest time (33mph!) of the 8 riders that braved the wind and rain 
and was the one seed.

Once all racers were seeded the bracket tournament began. As racers raced drag race 
style, a winner was determined for each heat, with the winner advancing to the next 
round and the loser relegated to the concellation bracket. As the Speed Tourament 
played through the initial burst of speed off the line by Wyatt Mayo was too much 
for the field to handle. Despite wearing different colored shoes he managed to win 
each of his heats to take the championship.

Pete Wilda got the attention of my son for being "way fast". Pete did three 
consecutive sprints to win the concellation bracket with speed to spare.

Barb Creighton was very impressive and easily won the women's field. She held her 
own with the Men and received her well earned 70 points for the win.
