The 2019 edition of the Chena River to Ridge (CR2R) saw sixty-five participants compete among the bike, ski, and run divisions.  Leading up to the event, Mother Nature had cooperated and that was also the case on race day.   Skies were clear and the sun  was out almost the entire day, allowing the racers to enjoy some amazing views as a reward for all their hard work.

Sixty racers finished, and Eyal Saiet set a 50-mile course record on his bike 5:48.  People came from as far away as Whitehorse, YT to enjoy the Fairbanks area trails and race community.  The race had a number of rookies and we were even lucky enough to be the first race of any kind for a couple people!

After all the training and racing, everybody left with a smile on their face and there’s definitely already a buzz for 2020…..
