SIGN UP WITH FCC FOR THE NATIONAL BIKE CHALLENGE The National Bike Challenge started on May 1! We have an FCC group all set up. Join in and help add to our biking miles!

May is National Bike Month and that is part of the challenge, but the challenge lasts through September, so let’s see how many miles we can put in!

Fairbanks Area Surface Transportation Planning COMMENT OPPORTUNITY
🎉 Our 2012 Non-motorized Plan is getting an update this year!
🚴 By updating our plan, we hope to raise local awareness of transportation independence options in our community.
We have launched an online, interactive map 🗺️ & survey 📝 with the help of Kittelson & Associates, Inc. to begin collecting your comments on non-motorized activity in our Metropolitan Planning Area. There’s also a general comments form. ✔️

ALASKA WALK AND BIKE CONFERENCE GOES VIRTUAL One advantage of the pandemic is that some conferences are going virtual, which means people who don’t have the time and/or money to travel can still participate. The 2020 Alaska Walk and Bike Conference is one of those. Check it out.

BIKE STATION AVAILABLE DOWNTOWN There is an awesome bike station downtown. It’s right next to the Morris Thompson visitors center and the park next door close to the bike path. If your bike isn’t working quite right, you don’t need to wait until you get home to work on it!

BICYCLE PARKING LOT GAMES FOR FAMILIES Short video with three bicycle parking lot games for kids/families. The Four-stall Relay Ride (last one) looks like a good exercise for riders of all ages to improve their skills!
