*U AVENUE RR CROSSING SURVEY*Is the University Avenue RR crossing a part of your regular ride? You might want to fill out this survey.
Shared from Fairbanks Area Surface Transportation Planning 🛤️ Have you ever been stuck at the railroad tracks on University Avenue while heading to work or class? Same.
🚥 At certain times of the day when the train crosses University Avenue, it must come to a stop for a crew member to manually flip a switch before it proceeds towards the rail yard. This project aims to automate this switch so the train doesn’t have to stop.
✍️ Share your thoughts on this project proposal by taking the mini survey for this crossing at fbxings.com/university-avenue. Public comment period open until July 9th, 2021.

*TAKE CARE ON THE STREETS*One of our members was riding downtown recently and almost got hit three times by cars. One car turned in front of him, another drove by dangerously close, and a third was leaving a parking lot in a hurry and not watching carefully. Be careful out there! Most drivers are respectful, but even good drivers make mistakes. Ride like you assume everyone will make mistakes. And, yes, cyclists do have rights, but try to avoid explaining those rights from a hospital bed.
