*WHEELS ON ICE BOOK EVENT*”Wheels on Ice: Stories of Cycling in Alaska” is a book that celebrates cycling in Alaska.
It has been a labor of love for editor and contributor Jessica Cherry. In this short “49 Writers” interview, Cherry talks about the vision of the book and what it took to get it finished.

Cherry worked on the book with Frank Soos, who sadly died in a solo cycling accident before it was finished.
An event for the book will be held in Fairbanks on December 16.
The event will be a reading and a panel discussion with Interior authors from the book, including Corrine Leistikow, Eric Troyer, Rachael Kvapil. The panel discussion will be moderated by Jessica Cherry and Dermot Cole.
The event will start at 7pm at Bear Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts building in Pioneer Park.
Books will be for sale at the event. Come celebrate cycling and maybe pick up a book or two for Christmas presents! You can also buy it online here: www.nebraskapress.unl.edu/nebraska/9781496232472/
