Come join us for an FCC Sundays on Snow fatbike ride! This will be a no-drop beginner ride with shorter and longer options. You will need to have some minimal biking skills, but this will be a low-key affair. Come have some fatbike fun!
All riders need to be members of the Fairbanks Cycle Club. One-day memberships are available for $5. Since we’ll be riding on the ADMA trails, please get an ADMA trail pass (one-day $5, annual $75). ADMA grooms and maintains the trails.
Date/Start time: December 11, 11am
Start place: Creamer’s Field front parking lot (just off College Road)
Estimated tour time/distance: Short ride, ~1 hour (less than 5 miles); Longer ride, 2-3 hours, ~10 miles.
Route description: Mostly flat ride. We will get on the ADMA trails and ride toward the Beaver Sports access trail to the west. Longer ride will be a loop. Shorter ride will be an out-and-back, with a possible little loop on the way back. (For an online map of the trails see here.)
Estimated skill/fitness level needed: No-drop beginner ride.
Cancelation policy: The ride will be canceled if the temperature is 15F below or colder at 9am on the NOAA Fairbanks website.
