This ride is open to all, including beginners and total newbies (though you will need to know how to ride a bike!). Tanana Lakes is a great place to get out for a relaxed fatbike ride. When: March 1, 2025, start at 11am

Where: Meet at the Tanana Lakes Boat Launch

Estimated tour time: 7-10 miles; 1 to 1.5 hrs, depending on the pace of the group. (We'll loop around the rec area a bit and come back to the cars. If some people want to go farther, we can do a bit more exploring.)

Description: The ride will explore some of the flat trails around the Tanana Lakes Recreation Area.

The ride is free, but you’ll need to be a member of the Fairbanks Cycle Club. Temporary memberships are available.

Temperature cut-off: The ride will be canceled if it's 15F below or colder at 9 a.m. according to the Fairbanks Airport weather station (scroll down to "latest observation").

Helmets: Always required for FCC rides.

Dogs: No dogs please.
