Tons of people came out for the dedication and ride of the Matt Glover Bike Path on Saturday, May 24.
Some people rode from the Morris Thompson Visitor Center to to attend the ceremony and then ride the path. Others tied in the ride with much bigger rides, including those who rode from home.
Here's a report from Ginny: "What an amazing turn out! The weather was lovely, the speakers were so heartfelt and I couldn’t think of a nicer way to spend a Saturday morning. I think Matt would’ve loved to see so many cyclists together."
And here's a STORY from Alaska News Source. And here's a STORY from the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
What a great way to honor Matt's legacy! Thank you to everyone to attended. And a special thanks to everyone who helped clean up the path on Tuesday.
Several people took photos at the event. Credit to Ginny and Evee.
