The Fairbanks Cycle Club is offering a weekly Junior Mountain Biking Ride starting next Wednesday, June 26. Riders will be led by coaches.
Who: Children between the ages of 6-13.
- Must be a member of the Fairbanks Cycle Club (see link below).
- Must be able to ride a mountain bike without adult or mechanical assistance.
- Must wear a helmet.
- Be ready to ride rain or shine
- Parent participation is encouraged but not required. If you are willing to come help on a regular basis, please contact Garrett or Glenn (info below). You don’t need special skills, just an ability to ride a bike and a desire to help kids experience the joy of mountain biking.
- Responsible teens (14 – 18) are also invited to attend and assist.
When: Wednesday nights 6 PM to 7ish June 26 through July 31. No class July 3.
Where: Birch Hill upper parking lot
Why: To meet riders of the same age/skill, improve mountain biking skills, and learn basic cycle maintenance.
Cost: Free (just an FCC membership)
