Being an FCC member allows you to come on any of our rides that we offer in winter and summer. That's a great benefit, but there's a lot more! Read about the other benefits here. (NOTE: For Temporary Memberships only the last two apply.)
FCC Discount Cards
The FCC Discount Card is good for the calendar year and will offer these benefits from the following shops:
Beaver Sports
- 10% off (max of $100 discount per week)
- Bike shop only, labor excluded
Goldstream Sports
- 10% off (max of $150 discount per week), labor excluded
Bankstown Bike and Ski
- 10% off merchandise (max of $150 discount per day)
- 10% off all services (bike and ski, no weekly limit)
Notes:
- The FCC Discount is not applicable in conjunction with other discounts (unless specifically stated).
- Individual FCC memberships will get one card. Family memberships will get two cards.
- If you are a fan of our local REI shop, we’re sorry but the store was not able to participate. We do plan to partner with our local REI shop for something in the near future.
- Cards are being distributed at the Discount Events listed below. After the last Discount Event, all cards not picked up will be mailed to the addresses we have on file.
- People who sign on as new members after the last Discount Event will be mailed their cards to the addresses we have on file.
FCC Discount Card Events
To give you further benefits and to help distribute the FCC Discount Cards, we work with participating stores to have FCC Discount Card Events.

- FCC Discount Night at Bankstown: February 21
- FCC Discount Day at Goldstream Sports: March 4
Ride With GPS
The FCC has purchased a “Ride With GPS” Club Account. This means all FCC members will get certain benefits for free. Those benefits include:
- Voice Navigation in the RwGPS mobile app
- Offline Maps in the RwGPS mobile app
- PDF Maps + Cuesheets
- Advanced Turn Notifications with TCX files
- Estimated time

FCC Anti-Social Media Newsletter
Whenever we find useful information about cycling in the Fairbanks and North Pole areas, we put it out on our Facebook page. But we know that not everyone is on Facebook, so every Friday we put out our FCC Anti-Social Media Newsletter, which contains the meat of our posts from that week. Our Facebook page is open to everyone, but our newsletter is sent only to club members.

While participating in official FCC rides, you get supplemental medical insurance through the FCC insurance plan. See our Insurance page for more information.
Helping the FCC Mission
Just by being a member you are:
- Helping FCC to advocate for better cycling infrastructure in the Fairbanks/North Pole area and statewide.
- Helping FCC provide rides that help get people out cycling to improve their physical and mental health.
- Helping FCC to put on the annual “FCC Bike Swap,” which acts as a fundraiser for the club, helps get used cycles and cycling gear to interested people, and gets donated cycles and cycling gear to people and groups in need.
