The Fairbanks Cycle Club offers weekly Junior Mountain Biking Rides through August 7, 2025. Riders will be led by coaches.
Who: Children between the ages of 6-16.
- Must be a member of the Fairbanks Cycle Club (see link below).
- Must be able to ride a mountain bike without adult or mechanical assistance.
- Must wear a helmet.
- Be ready to ride rain or shine
- Parent participation is encouraged but not required. If you are willing to come help on a regular basis, please contact Garrett or Glenn (info below). You don’t need special skills, just an ability to ride a bike and a desire to help kids experience the joy of mountain biking.
- Responsible teens (16 – 18) are also invited to attend and assist.
When: Thursday nights 6 PM to 7ish May 29 through August 7. (Rides will not happen June 19, 26 and July 3, due to ride leaders being gone and the Independence Day weekend. Rides will resume July 10.)
Where: Birch Hill upper parking lot. Meet at the most southern end (the far end) of the parking lot. (The last ride of the season will meet at Skyline Ridge Park Trailhead.)
Why: To meet riders of the same age/skill, improve mountain biking skills, and learn basic cycle maintenance.
Cost: Free (just an FCC membership)
