Lazy-ish Sunday Road Rides

WHAT:
Easy-going road rides; 12-15mph; probably 10-20 miles in length. Ride routes vary and can change depending on group desire. There are a many options from the start point. Occasionally ride leaders may not be available. If that happens, we'll let you know ahead of time on our Facebook page and via FCC email. Of course, people can still have an informal, make-your-own-adventure, meet-up ride.

WHERE:
Start at Patty Center Parking lot unless otherwise announced. Look for bikes. If the ride starts somewhere else (or at some other time) we'll let you know at least a week or two in advance on our Facebook page, via FCC email, and listed below.

WHEN:
Sundays, start @ 11am. First ride in 2026: April 26.

WHO
All are welcome.

Fairbanks Cycle Club membership is required. (Temporary memberships are available.)

ETHOS
Rides start easier. The first rides are a good way to remember how your road bike works and how your body works when you are on it. After that the rides could get faster and go farther as people get into better shape. If there are enough people, the rides could break into smaller groups, depending on speed and how far people want to go.

EQUIPMENT
HELMETS are mandatory. WEAR bright or reflective clothing.

RIDE LEADER: Dave Withoff (aksawyer2017 [at] gmail.com)

RIDE REPORTS:
For recent ride reports, see our News page.

Sometimes our winters like to extend into spring. When that happens, the first ride or two may be canceled or modified. We’ll try to let you know via the FCC Facebook page and club email, but you can also contact the ride leaders (above). To get club emails you need to be a member

RIDES WITH DIFFERENT START PLACES:

No ride on May 3 due to the FCC Bike Swap
