*STRESSED MOOSE ON TRAILS*There have been several reports of moose on local trails that are reluctant to get off. That’s common this time of year. Moose are often stressed after spending months dealing with winter snowfall, cold, and subpar forage. That’s especially true in high snowfall years like this one. If you one run into one on the trail, don’t try too hard to encourage it off the trail. Better to turn around and take another route. If moose get too stressed, they can charge and may even attack. Several people have been seriously hurt or even killed by moose.

*CYCLING TO RAISE MONEY TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER*Hey all, we got a request from Gabe King, who lives in North Pole. Who wants to help Gabe? Right now he’s got just one other member on his team, but there’s room for plenty more. And, of course, you can always donate to this worthy cause.
Good morning! I am reaching out to see if anyone in the club is interested in helping my team reach its goal this year to fight childhood cancer. I did this challenge alone last year, and was able to raise $600 for cancer research. This year I want to up the stakes, but need help reaching my 2,000 mile goal. Indoor and outdoor miles count, and there is zero cost or anything like that. I invite you to check out: greatcyclechallenge.com/Teams/SummitSportsNutrition. <greatcyclechallenge.com/Teams/SummitSportsNutrition.> I want to get Alaska on the front page of this cycling challenge!
