This week we decided to check out the new pavement on Chena Ridge by riding out the Parks Highway and back along Chena Pump Road. Road crews were working on driveways but the road was open to bicyclists who didn't mind dodging parked road machinery and orange traffic cones. It was a beautiful day, and in a week or two when all the machinery is gone this will be a beautiful route for road bikes.
