When the temps get high, we go low!
When: Sunday, December 8, at 11am
Where: Meet at the pullout near Ann's Greenhouse. Google Maps link to meeting area.
Estimated tour time: About 2 hours with a bit more for those who want a little longer ride.
Tour Description: The ride will be a loop and include trails to the south and west of Ann's, including the Dredge Trail, the Intertie Trail, and the Boat Trail back to the start. There will be about 400 to 500 feet of climbing.
If any folks want more, there are a variety of options that can be tacked on, such as taking some of the Ace Lakes area trails back toward the start of Goldhill Road and then return on the Sheep Creek Commuter Path or doing a quick loop on the trails behind Goldstream Sports, if they have been cleared and groomed.
Temps are forecast to be in the teens and low 20s. A little snow is predicted for the next couple of days, but not much and it should be packed by Sunday.
The ride is free, but you'll need to be a member of the Fairbanks Cycle Club. Temporary memberships are available. Participants also need to either sign a liability release form or have signed one earlier this year. Download the form and find out more on our insurance page.
Minimum skill level: Advanced beginner/easy intermediate. The trails are mostly not too tricky, but there are some short steep climbs.
Temperature cut-off: The ride will be canceled if it's 20F below or colder at 9 a.m. according this weather station off Pruitt Lane (scroll down to “latest observation”).
Dogs: No dogs please

Donation opportunities: If you ride on the Goldstream Sports trails (or the Ester Dome Singletrack Trails), Goldstream Sports takes donations for trails maintenance and grooming. Ask at the store.
FATBIKE RENTALS
If you don't own your own fatbike, but want to try it out, there are a few places around town that rent fatbikes that we know about. (Not all are open on Sundays, so plan ahead.)
